Tiger sports podcast for Nov. 28

Thanksgiving is this week, so for this week's podcast Independent sports writer Matthew Steichen stopped by a Farmington High School wrestling team practice to see what coach Jon Lund and his wrestlers are thankful for. Turns out it's everything from family and friends to the ocean and its bounty of sea creatures.

Tiger sports podcast for Nov. 14

The Tiger sports podcast continues to prepare for the winter season. This week sports reporter Matthew Steichen sits down with boys basketball coach Shane Wyandt.

Another Friday, another installment of the Farmington Independent sports podcast. This week sports writer Matthew Steichen takes a break from talking with coaches and catches up with cross country runners Jackie Beckett and Elliot Fenske after they lead their teams at Thursday's Farmington Invitational at the Dakota County Fairgrounds. Beckett finished 12th on the girls side and Fenske took fourth against the boys. Matt talked with them about their performance and the outlook for next week's Missota Conference Championships.

Tiger sports podcast for 05/09/08

It was a good week for the Tiger track teams. The boys team brought home it second straight True Team section championship, beating second place Rosemount by 11 points. The girls finished fifth in the same meet. Meanwhile, the Tiger softball team won its eighth straight and pitcher Eric Estes drove in both Tiger runs while pitching a complete game win over Hutchinson.
